* Center for Juvenile and Criminal Justice June through Sept 2000 Public Records Research--Prop 36
Worked for CJCJ to help get Proposition 36 passed on November 2000 ballot. Prop 36 diverts nonviolent drug offenders from jail to rehabilitation. Prison guards union California Correctional Peace Officers Association is the largest contributor of campaign contributions. CCPOA does not want Prop 36 to pass--they want prisoners. I was hired to look up all contributions to California senators and assembly made by C.C.P.O.A. Political Action Committee. I Looked up proposed legislation to find correlation between campaign contributions and new legislation that creates more reasons for incarceration or funds new development of prisons. I went to San Francisco Department of Elections for PAC records. I researched in Sacramento with Friends Committee on Legislation and Secretary of State for campaign finance disclosure statements filled out by politicians running for election.

Sept 2000, worked with the executive director of the Friends Committee on Legislation in Sacramento, to hand out information to various assembly members offices about an assembly bill that protects Native American lands. I also observed the process of the senate and assembly in session.

* April Through June--Census 2000 Worked as Enumerator--I visited households in Daly City and South San Francisco. I was promoted to Crew Leader Assistant for special assignment: households on the San Francisco--San Mateo County border were inaccurate.My job was to go to the San Francisco Planning Department and figure out which households did not belong to the San Mateo County Census.

San Bruno Mountain Watch, Brisbane, CA........................................................... 1991 - 2009
Advocacy for the mountain, habitat restoration, seed collection and redistribution to burned areas. Photography, arranging solstice and equinox gatherings, attending city council meetings, San Bruno Mountain Oral Histories Project, and Design Ecology Brochure For San Bruno Mountain: Protection of San Bruno Mountain An informative brochure that expounds on exotic plants such as French broom,gorse, fennel, pampas and the like, that threaten native habitats on the mountain. The goal of the brochure is to enable local residents to recognize, remove and replace troublesome invasive plants with native vegetation. I did close-up and overall photos of invasive plants, all the text, acquired the graphics, design and layout using Photoshop and PageMaker and multiple revisions. Final content approval and editing work done by Elena Court and the City of Brisbane.
